Bottom of the first..... no score

J-sow just made a great defensive play on a liner up the middle

I changed the name of my username b/c I'm afraid it was jinxing the real Jeremy Sowers so I'm trying this out for a while and see if his luck can improve.

Sowers seems very Kenny Rogers like to me.... he gets hitters in 0-2 counts and then nibbles away trying to get them to swing at his pitch. Isn't the best for his pitch count though

Doesn't seem like a real impressive performance for Sowers.  He'll have time to build on it.  He's definitely going to get 2 to 3 more starts with Carmona still out.

Sowers is turning out to be something of a disappointment to me. This is deffinitely not going to be his breakout year. After what I've seen this year I'm not sure if I'm expecting him to ever mature into a show-stopper. I think with some work he'll end up an average pitcher.

Bases loaded 1 out for Peralta in the 8th. Detroit's going to the bullpen again. We'll see what they fish out and see if we can't manufacture some runs here.

But instead we strike out. Twice. Against Dolsi.

Pathetic.
