What do you think will be discussed?

What changes if any do you think will be made?

I think they need to figure out who is going to be part of a winning team for next season.

I think they're going to finalize what they're looking to get for CC.   I think veterans at the end of their contracts will be gone (Byrd, Blake, etc...).  I would like to see Borowski cut.   Let Masa close.  This team has got to find a closer for next year.  We can't keep losing games in the 9th and 10th inning.

What I'd like to see:

- Cut Borowski
- Trade Blake
- Trade Byrd
- Trade CC for some top notch MLB ready talent
- Let's see what Barfield has
- Move Peralta to 3rd and bring up ACab to play SS
- See who can pitch in the bullpen
- Trade or cut Dellucci

I don't want to watch a bunch of underachieving veterans the rest of the year.  I want to see this team position itself to win the AL Central next season.

Totally agreed, Vets need to go. I don't mind Masa being a closer but I would like him to get into that role in spring training or at the very end of the season, I just don't want to get him overwhelmed if he were to not work out right away.

Here's the first report of what might happen. Looks like the bullpen is the first to be adjusted and that is to be expected.

Quote
Minneapolis -- The Indians spent Thursday moving the furniture in the bullpen during a staff meeting. A new set of arms should start trickling in any day now.

Closer Joe Borowski is expected to lose his job. Masa Kobayashi could replace him or be part of a closer-by-committee with Rafael Betancourt and Rafael Perez.

Little-used Rick Bauer, who went 15-for-17 in save situations at Class AAA Buffalo, is expected to be designated for assignment Friday or Saturday. He did not accompany the team from Chicago to Minneapolis.

Jensen Lewis and Brian Slocum were told after Thursday night's game at Buffalo that they were being called up by the Indians. While one of them would take Bauer's spot, it was not known how the Indians would create the second spot.

Juan Rincon and Jeff Stevens are right behind in the pipeline from Buffalo to Cleveland.

Manager Eric Wedge and his coaching staff met Thursday morning with the sound of Chicago's three-game sweep -- highlighted by consecutive 10th-inning walk-off defeats on Tuesday and Wednesday -- still pounding between their ears. GM Mark Shapiro and assistant general manager Chris Antonetti participated by phone.

Chicago's sweep dropped the Indians 12 1/2 games out of first in the AL Central. With the July 31 trading deadline approaching and C.C. Sabathia very much on the market, it's a cinch the entire conversation didn't dwell on the bullpen.

"We talked about immediate changes and things that could take place in the coming month," said Shapiro, when asked about the meeting.

Baure and Borowski both DFA

It's weird I'm a little sad to see Joe go but he wasn't helping the team at all.

Lewis and Slocum coming up... I'm very excited to see what Slocum can do in a relief role.

Nothing personal against Joe, but it was time for him to go.

Good to see Lewis and Slocum coming up.  Maybe Slocum is a better reliever than a starter.

Let's see what happens next.

well Joe Borowski was DFA

if it were me running the team I would break it down like this

on the block
CC
Byrd
Blake
Peralta
Betancourt
Marte...haha
Dellucci

guys I would listen to offers for
Garko
Kobayashi
Gutierrez
Choo
Shoppach

guys I would have to be blown away by a deal to even consider
Perez
Laffey
Lee
Sowers
Francisco

guys who if their name is mentioned I hang up
Sizemore
Martinez
Carmona

I leave Hafner off the list because he is untradable.

not saying I want to trade everyone on the team with the exception of Sizemore, Martinez, and Carmona but for the right price everyone else could be had.
